History
1966, Neuchâtel (Switzerland), as International Round Table of Educational Counselling and Vocational Guidance -- Table ronde internationale pour l'orientation scolaire et la guidance professionnelle. Name changed to International Round Table for the Advancement of Counselling (IRTAC) -- Table ronde internationale pour le développement de l'orientation (TRIDO) -- Mesa Redonda Internacional para el Desarrollo de la Orientación. Present name adopted 1997. Registered under Belgian law, 13 Apr 1971.
Aims
Facilitate inter-disciplinary study of questions relating to counselling and guidance at the level of schools and universities as well as in non-academic fields; support counselors and counseling throughout the world.
