    Saint Vincent and the Grenadines joined UNESCO on 14 January 1983. The country is covered by the UNESCO Office in Kingston, Jamaica. The Director-General of UNESCO, Koïchiro Matsuura, made an official visit to this Member State in January 2006.

    Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is home to one UNEVOC centre and, as of September 2006, has 10 schools participating in the UNESCO’s Associated Schools Project Network (ASPnet).
