To implement the education sector's comprehensive response to HIV, the Ministry of Education Jamaica, in its National Policy for the Management of HIV/AIDS in Schools, recommends that every school in Jamaica establish a Health Advisory Committee. This toolkit provides practical tips and tools to support schools and education administrators in planning and managing a workplan of HIV and AIDS prevention education activities for the entire school community.
This study assessed the policies, strategic plans and structures that have been put in place inZimbabwe to address the HIV/AIDS epidemic in the education sector. It also examined the comprehensiveness of projects and programmes currently being implemented by the government in collaboration with partner organisations and NGOs. Highlight the sector's commitment to the fight against the HIV/AIDS pandemic, 2. Provide guidelines and milestones that will ensure that all stakeholders tackle the problem of HIV/AIDS within the sector with a unified purpose. After an analysis of the situation, the plan proposes objectives, strategies and responses to the global situation.
