Building partnerships

Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030 requires efforts and support of all actors sharing the United Nations values.

From its creation, UNESCO recognizes the importance to develop a partnership policy in all its fields of competence and to encourage the participation of all global state and non-state actors.

UNESCO’s vast global networks are one of its principal assets. The Organization maintains close working relationships with intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations, the private sector, United Nations system, UNESCO’s clubs, centres and associations, as well as Associated Schools.

As a UNESCO Liaison office, Brussels Office’s mission is to identify opportunities for new partnerships and to strengthen existing ones.
