    Myanmar joined UNESCO on June 27, 1949. The country is covered by the Organization’s Bangkok Office, in Thailand.

    Myanmar is home to one UNEVOC centre. As of September 2006, the country has 4 schools participating in UNESCO’s Associated Schools Project Network (ASPnet).
