Resumen:

The Bureau approved the international assistance request submitted by Zimbabwe to implement a project entitled ‘Traditional custodians of the sacred shrines of Zimbabwe.’ A contract was signed in April 2011 between UNESCO and Manyanga Traditional Custodians, the organization designated by the requesting State Party for the project’s implementation. In December of that year, the Manyanga Traditional Custodians informed the Secretariat that they were not able to continue with its implementation and would therefore proceed with the reimbursement of the first advance payment. A significant part of the amount advanced was reimbursed in June 2013, but to date the entire amount has not yet been received.
