From 25 to 28 January 2017, after a successful 2016 edition with Dennis Muren as a guest, the Centre des arts continues its collaboration with the Film Commission of Ile-de-France with a new edition of the Paris Images Digital Summit (PIDS).

The PIDS is an event dedicated to digital creation in all its forms: from the VFX (Visual Effects) to VR (Virtual Reality), animation, CGI (Computer-Generated Imagery) and 3D.

On the program of this 2017 edition: unpublished images of the films events of the season 2016-17, case studies on the trade secrets of the last major international productions (Miss Peregrine, Assassin's Creed, Star Wars ...), round tables and debates around the economic, technological and creative stakes of the sector, meetings with those who make the images of tomorrow (directors, visual effects supervisors, producers), without forgetting Job Faire where the world’s biggest VFX companies (ILM, Framestore, Mikros …) come to recruit, master classes for students in schools, middle schools and high schools.

At the opening of the event, on Wednesday, January 25, the Genie Awards ceremony will reward the best French VFX productions, and will present a prize in tribute to Joe Letteri, guest of honor.
