Iziko Museums of Cape Town

The amalgamated institution manages and promotes Iziko’s unique combination of South Africa’s heritage collections, sites and services for the benefit of present and future generations. It consists of 15 cultural and natural history sites, including the Slave Lodge, whose temporary exhibits will be replaced by a permanent museum of slavery in the coming years. This website provides up to date programming information for Izikio’s consortium of resources as well as summaries of its ongoing research activities.
