Centro de documentaciónThe National Commission has settled a Documentation Centre which serves as depository library for UNESCO publications (USD 35,000 obtained under Participation Programme, 1996).
Estructura de la ComisiónThe National Commission consists of the following organs:
- The General Assembly (composed of 5 members);
- The Executive Committee (composed of 5 members), which meets twice a year;
- One Programme Committee which meets when required;
- The Secretariat.
Miembros/ComposiciónThe Membership of the National Commission is composed of 9 members representing Ministries and Government Departments (Education; Foreign Affairs; Technology, Science and Productive Innovation; Environment; Culture).
Interacción con UNESCO y otras Comisiones Nacionales
DescripciónThe Argentinean Commission collaborates with the National Commissions of Latin America, especially that of the countries of the Mercosur (Brazil, Paraguay; Uruguay, as well as Bolivia and Chile). It also maintains regular working relations with UNESCO/Montevideo and has received technical and financial assistance from the UNESCO Office of Santiago (OREALC: Regional Office for Education in Latin America and the Caribbean).
