The country is covered by the UNESCO Cluster Office in Doha, Qatar.

         

The Arab Open University, based in Kuwait, was established in 2001 as a result of an agreement signed between UNESCO and the Arab Gulf Programme for United Nations Development Organizations (AGFUND). The university focuses on courses in science and technology, computer science, and business administration.
