The Solomon Islands are represented on the World Heritage List by one natural site, East Rennell.

In the framework of the action plan developed for the implementation of the Convention concerning the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage in the Pacific region, this country receives support towards the elaboration of its Tentative List.

The Solomon Islands also cooperates with UNESCO in the field of intangible heritage. In this regard, the country is encouraged to preserve its endangered languages and to safeguard its traditional practices in line with the sustainable development of cultural tourism.
