UNESCO Asia-Pacific Heritage Awards Ceremony 

The award, in its seventh year, recognizes the achievements of individuals and organizations within the private sector and public/private initiatives in successfully restoring structures of heritage value in the Asia-Pacific region.

The Regional Advisor for Culture in Asia and the Pacific will present the Award to three of the nine laureates selected among the thirty-six projects submitted.

The following mentions will be awarded as follows:

  • 5 December: Honourable Mention to the Liu Ying Lung Study Hall, Hong Kong SAR, China;
  • 7 December: Award of Distinction to Bund 18, commercial building in the centre of Shanghai, China;
  • 29 December: Award of Merit to Han Jiang Ancestral Temple, Penang, Malaysia.
