From 21 January to 11 February, the third Triennale of Kogei (Crafts) will be held in Kanazawa, Japan, a Creative City of Crafts and Folk Art. The event will offer two parallel exhibitions:
The Call for Projects for the 2017 Kogei World Competition, to be held in Kanazawa, is opened from 18 April to 19 August 2016.  The Kogei World Competition in Kanazawa is an international competition meant to convey to the world what is new in kogei (craft). This competition serves to pursue artistic works that demonstrate a rich sense of expressivity, using the techniques and skill cultivated within the world of kogei to bring excellent concepts and ideas to life.
The IX UCCN Annual Meeting took place in Kanazawa, Japan, from 25 to 28 May 2015. This highly successful event gathered over 150 representatives from 61 of the Network’s 69 member cities, including 17 Mayors and vice-Mayors. The Meeting enabled the UCCN to:
