Academics for Higher Education and Development

ahed.gif

The Division of Higher Education has established a relationship with AHED (Academics for Higher Education and Development) a newly created Canadian NGO committed to set up capacities and abilities in higher education in developing countries.

Through an active cooperation between volunteers, national and regional institutions, AHED could contribute to reduce the gap between developed and developing countries in the field of higher education- an essential condition for a sustainable human development in the developing countries.

The NGO will work closely with UNITWIN/UNESCO Chairs Programme and will contribute to human and institutional development in the developing countries:
  • by sending highly experienced university staff, administrators and professors, as well as professionals working in the fields related to AHED projects.
