Eritrea is at present identifying the wealth of its natural and cultural heritage and drawing up a Tentative List.

An effort is being made to raise awareness among professionals and the population as a whole. The country recently received assistance from UNESCO in restoring a stela damaged in the recent conflict.

Eritrea is setting out to examine its intangible heritage with the aid of UNESCO.
