LA ORGANIZACIÓN

In the framework of the World Commission on the Ethics of Scientific Knowledge and Technology (COMEST), UNESCO accordingly carried out in 2000-2001 a series of integrated multidisciplinary and multicultural analyses in the field of ethics of energy, freshwater resources, outer space and the information society. Those analyses have contributed to a better identification of the ethical issues involved, and have helped to detect early signs of situations that might pose risks to society and to draw ethical principles and guidelines to inspire policy choises to be make by decision-makers, both from the public and private sectors.
