Visitor/researcher registration form

In order to ensure the best possible service, external researchers are encouraged to fill in the Researcher registration form and to send it with a short note to the UNESCO Archives, preferably by e-mail to: archives@unesco.org.

Basic Security Procedures

Visitors to UNESCO and UNESCO Archives are kindly requested to bring an ID card with photo form for security purposes. Visiting researchers must be signed at the UNESCO lobby on every visit.

Documents must be handled with care, without marking them, and must be returned to the appropriate box in original order. All reference books should be returned to their original location. Researchers may not leave the Reading room or office in which they may be working with any documents.

Visitors of the UNESCO Archives can use the public areas of UNESCO Headquarters (cafeteria, restaurant, refreshment rooms with hot drinks vending machines and water dispenser etc.).
