Activities
Partnership between UNESCO and parliamentarians can take various forms:
Provision of international expertise in key fields in which parliamentarians may be called upon to legislate or to ratify conventions
Drafting of joint projects, information exchange, advisory services on particular issues in collaboration with the programme sectors
Creation and strengthening of cooperative links by the establishment of global networks linking parliaments, municipalities and the intellectual and scientific communities
Joint information campaigns focusing on areas of shared interest, organization of seminars
Assistance to parliamentarians in the planning, execution and evaluation of specific projects
Participation in the work of UNESCO’s National Commissions
