The Round Table discussion will launch the resource book “Freedom of Information (FOI) & Women’s Rights in Africa” which aims at encouraging the participation of African women in the effective implementation of the Freedom of Information frameworks in their respective countries.

Presented as a fundamental right, Freedom of Information will be discussed in relation to women’s well-being and will trigger the circulation of information on crucial themes, such as HIV and AIDS, sexual and reproductive health, education, food security, gender violence and income-generating activities.
