The show sheds light on our planet’s cultural diversity, in particular through ancestral rites and folk traditions, and focuses on several themes: festivities, daily life, architecture, sports and leisure, traditional rites, portraits and costumes. Created in 1998 by the CFPA, a Beijing-based NGO, the HPA competition, which is open to amateurs and professionals, aims to promote the preservation of the intangible cultural heritage of peoples and the dialogue between civilisations.
