Indian Minister of Textiles shares views on Crafts, ICH and sustainable development

Before opening an exhibition on traditional crafs of India in UNESCO Headquarters (Paris, 2 September 2016), Ms Smriti Zubin Irani, Minister of Textiles of India, shares her views on crafts and textiles as an intangible cultural heritage to be passed on from generation to generation.
She explains how important it is to safeguard this knowledge, how the Indian government safeguards it and how it contributes to sustainable development.
