The Center is a nation-wide governmental institution in the field of vocational education. The Center is responsible for elaboration, coordination, implementation, evaluation and monitoring of the National Programme for Personnel Training in the field of vocational (secondary specialized and vocational) educatoin. Particularly, the Center is in charge of legal framework development, curriculum design, textbook production, teacher-training, management and cooperation network with local and international stakeholders in vocational education. There are 14 branches of the Center in every region of Uzbekistan. The Center, within its structure, has the Institute for Upgrading of Qualification and Re-Training of Specialists in Vocational Education.
