The Vocational Training corporation in Jordan is a government corporation. Training is the Core Business of VTC. The corporation expanded in recent years in all governorates of the Kingdom to serve communities and industry groups and civil society organizations. The number of Vocational Training Institutes (VTIs) totals 42. It offers training programs at the basic working levels (semi-skilled / skilled / craftsman) and is currently working in collaboration with the Al-Balqaa Applied University to implement nine training programs at the level of technical diploma(comprehensive test,community college diploma) and the parallel technical diploma from VTC. In addition, VTC conducts several specialized training programs according to the requirements of the private sector. VTC also offers model skill centers of Excellence:
1- Pharmaceutical manufacturers
2- Renewable Energy and Energy efficiency
3- Water and Environment
Entrepreneurship and excellence in providing vocational training services, classification of workers and workplaces, and support for small and medium enterprises according to the needs of the labor market.
1.) Train and prepare a qualified and competitive workforce in various vocational specializations and raise their efficiency based on the needs of the labor market through design, implementation and evaluation of training programs according to the highest quality standards in partnership with employers and civil society associations.
2.) Training in the field of training of trainers and supervisors
3.) Training in the field of occupational safety and health
4.) Classify the vocational workers and practitioners,and workplaces according to certified national vocational standards
5.) Provide for establishment and development of small and medium enterprises
The vocational training programs delivered by the VTC are classified into three types:
