09-01-2003 - An online clearinghouse for literary translation has recently been launched by UNESCO. The new service entitled "Literature & Translation" acts as a centre for information, guidance and encounter for translators, publishers, researchers, librarians, archivists, teachers and all others, who work on the discovery and promotion of literature.

15-10-2002 - The official launch of a new version of WebWorld, the website of UNESCO's Communication and Information Sector and a new "WebWorld News Digest", a quarterly print version of WebWorld news items , is scheduled today. The launch will take place this evening at a reception in UNESCOís Paris Headquarters on the occasion of the 165th session of UNESCO's Executive Board.

21-05-2002 - - More than 16,000 links to websites of libraries and archives worldwide and to resources related to librarianship and records and archives management are listed on the UNESCO Libraries Portal and the UNESCO Archives Portal. Both portals were launched in 2001 in order to provide service to concerned professional communities worldwide.
