‘Water Problems and Solutions’ seminar in collaboration with WWAP’

Presentation by S. Uhlenbrook during the seminar

The seminar "Water Problems and Solutions - A Comprehensive Approach", organized by the Cleaner Technology Centre and the European Youth Parliament for Water, in collaboration with the World Water Assessment Programme and the Energy and Water Agency, was held on January 24 at Malta University in Valletta.

The core of the seminar consisted of three sessions on ‘New Water’, ‘Nature Based Solutions’ and ‘Water and Jobs’, and it served as an opportunity for students as well as experts to explore and discuss upon water and sustainability issues. WWAP Coordinator, Stefan Uhlenbrook, participated to the seminar and gave two presentations on ‘Water and Jobs’, the theme of the WWDR 2016, and on ‘Water as key agent in the circular economy ’.

During each session, experts in the field of water technology, water services, ecosystem services and river basin management shared their knowledge with high-level individuals such as Minister representatives, Director Generals of relevant Departments, company CEOs, as well as students.  Download the Programme
