15 February: reporting deadline for the 59 NGOs accredited in 2012

  • 30 January 2017
[alt]

The deadline (15 February 2017) is approaching for 59 non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to submit their reports on the contribution and commitment of their organization and their relations with the Committee since 2012. These are the 59 NGOs accredited at the fourth session of the General Assembly of States Parties in 2012 to provide advisory services to the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage.
This process provides an opportunity for NGOs to report on and highlight the contribution they are making to the safeguarding of intangible cultural heritage and the implementation of the 2003 Convention at the national level, as well as their contribution to the work of the Committee and their capacities to provide it with advisory services.
Report forms were initially sent to the 59 NGOs concerned in October 2016 and the Secretariat looks forward to receiving their completed reports by 15 February 2017 (see the Form ICH-08 Report downloadable from the forms page). The Secretariat will not be able to accept 2017 reports after this deadline.
