The UNESCO Executive Board is informed once a year, at its spring session, on recent decisions and activities of the organizations of the United Nations system of relevance to the work of UNESCO within the framework of the Director-General’s report on the implementation of the programme and budget (document C/5).

The Secretariat provides inputs to this report and apprises the Executive Board of resolutions and decisions adopted within the United Nations system as a whole.
