Integrating intangible cultural heritage in education: Intersectoral meeting with education institutes and programmes

This event will bring together UNESCO colleagues from the Intangible Cultural Heritage Section and the Education Sector programmes and institutes to engage in sharing, discussion and planning around the mutually beneficial relationship between these two fields within the context of Sustainable Development Goal 4 on quality education.
The main objectives of the meeting are to:
• Establish a shared conceptual understanding of the mutually beneficial relationship between intangible cultural heritage and education;
• Share concrete experiences through discussion and presentations that break down the mutually beneficial relationship by key themes of Sustainable Development Goal 4;
• Discuss the contribution of intangible cultural heritage to the global monitoring of target 4.7; and
• Define areas of possible collaboration for 2018–2021.
