WWDR 2017 at the European Commission

The World Water Development Report 2017 was presented at the European Commission on World Water Day, following its global launch in South Africa, Durban.

Improved wastewater management is not only critical to achieving the Sustainable Development Goal on clean water and sanitation (SDG 6), but also to other goals of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Indeed, improved wastewater management generates social, environmental and economic benefits essential for sustainable development.

The Report was presented by Editor-in-Chief Richard Connor during a Lunchtime Conference at the EU Commission’s External Cooperation ‘Infopoint', organized by the Directorate General for International Cooperation and Development (DEVCO) and WWAP.
