The third Bureau meeting of the fifth session of the Conference of Parties to UNESCO's International Convention against Doping in Sport will take place at UNESCO Headquarters, in Paris, on 7 April 2017.
Chaired by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland acting as Rapporteur, the third Bureau meeting aims to address contemporary issues related to global concerns on the ethics and integrity of sport with regard to States Parties’ commitment to implement and comply with the provisions of the Convention.
The session plans to identify key challenges for the sixth meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP6, UNESCO Headquarters, 25-26 September 2017). The discussions will equally include matters related to the Fund for the Elimination of Doping in Sport.
In addition, participants will have the opportunity to reinforce cooperation with the World Anti-Doping Agency.
The Bureau also comprises the following Vice-Chairpersons: Colombia, Kenya, the Republic of Korea and Romania.
