Central Asian workshop on mainstreaming Education for Sustainable Development and Global Citizenship Education in primary and secondary education

The Central Asian workshop discusses the application of "change management approach" in regards to implementation of the Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and Global Citizenship Education (GCED) programmes in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.


UNESCO Almaty Cluster Office organizes this workshop in cooperation with UNESCO Bangkok and UNESCO Tashkent and CAREC, and support of the government of Japan to conduct training on Change project approach to widen engagement with the topics of ESD and GCED in teacher training institutions.

This event serves to strengthen cooperation between local ESD partners and the teacher training institutes and pedagogical institutes to implement change projects in selected institutions in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
