ASEAN consultation for the implementation of UNESCO Recommendation concerning the Preservation of, and Access to, Documentary Heritage including in Digital Form

UNESCO, in partnership with the Government of Malaysia and the ASEAN Secretariat, will hold the first regional consultation in Southeast Asia on the implementation of UNESCO Recommendation concerning the Preservation of, and Access to, Documentary Heritage including in Digital Form, adopted by General Conference in 2015.
The consultation is organized within the framework of the project “Safeguarding the Documentary Heritage of Least Developed Countries (LDCs) and Small Island Developing States (SIDS) in Southeast Asia through the UNESCO Memory of the World programme” funded by the Government of Malaysia, and implemented by UNESCO Bangkok and Jakarta Offices.

The consultation will bring together good practice examples from the region and result in an ASEAN Plan of Action for the implementation of the Recommendation.
