Ratification by Benin of the Convention on the Means of Prohibiting and Preventing the Illicit Import, Export and Transfer of Ownership of Cultural Property (Paris, 14 November 1970)

On 1st March 2017, Benin deposited with the Director-General its instrument of ratification of the Convention on the Means of Prohibiting and Preventing the Illicit Import, Export and Transfer of Ownership of Cultural Property.

In accordance with the terms of Article 21, the Convention will enter into force with respect to Benin three months after the deposit of the instrument of ratification, that is to say on 1st June 2017.
