The mandate of the first session of the Subsidiary Committee will be to initiate the development and examination of guidelines facilitating the implementation of the 1970 Convention.
It should thus be possible to build on the progress achieved through the efforts made since 2011, to fulfill the expectations of States that prioritize the protection of cultural goods and the fight against their traffic, and to encourage the effective implementation of the treaty.
