Préservation de l’information
L’augmentation du taux de production de l’information couplée à l’évolution des technologies, des formats ainsi que la fragilité de stockage des supports de données met en péril notre capacité future à accéder à la croissance numérique. Ce groupe de travail interagit étroitement avec le Programme Mémoire du monde en renforçant la capacité des professionnels de l’information pour développer et mettre en oeuvre des normes numériques de gestion de conservation et de technique ainsi qu’échanger les meilleures pratiques. D’autres rôles incluent la collaboration avec les milieux professionnels afin de sensibiliser le public et de soutenir les décideurs politiques pour faire face à cette menace.
