Water Education for teachers in the Arab region

The regional training workshop on “Water Education for teachers in the Arab region” was successfully organized in Sharm El Shiekh, Egypt; 2-4 Sep. 2016. Twenty-one educators and teachers’ trainers from UNESCO Associated schools in Egypt, Oman, Sudan, Lebanon and Jordan participated in the workshop. The workshop was a good opportunity for experience exchange in water education for 6-12 years (in age) school students. The workshop activities were implemented under “Learning from Each Other” environment. Water educational tools such water cartoons stories and booklet were thoroughly introduced and discussed during the workshop. The implementation of an executive water education program in the participating countries was discussed during the workshop. A number of informal water education working group sessions and activities demos were undertaken by the participants which enabled a magnificent experience exchange. All participants were committed to start the implementation of the water education program in their schools.
