UNESCO International Chair / Network for a Sustainable Human Development (391), established in 1998 at the University of Girona (Spain).

Objectives

  • To establish and strengthen the cooperation between the network of Latin-American universities and universities of Europe and Mediterranean countries in order to implement a postgraduate programme which will be carried out in close collaboration with research programs and action plans specific to each context.
  • To support a fast and effective knowledge transfer on the university /company interactions within the framework of Communitarian actions for human development, integrating the various local actors and taking into account their cultural and ethnic diversity.
  • To promote dialog between civil society and public administrations, and to create places and structures for self-managed processes of Communitarian participation.
