Heritage protection in West Africa, particularly in the Sahel region, is facing many threats related to illicit trafficking of cultural property. So the UNESCO Dakar reinforces capacity and promotes sub-regional cooperation to facilitate the return of stolen property and thwart fraudulent Internet transactions.
