CI - Partners and Networks

CI works in cooperation with the parent Sector in Paris, other UNESCO offices, especially in the Asia and Pacific region, and within the UNESCO Bangkok office in implementing intersectoral projects. In order to reach its aims CI collaborates with international organizations such as UNDP, ITU, and also with regional and national organizations such as AIBD, AIT and SEAPA.

A long time partner of UNESCO is AIBD. It provides trainers and training materials to CI's media professional training courses.

Asian Institute of Technology - AIT

Collaboration with AIT is in the area of ICT applications for education, especially a pilot virtual university for the GMS region.

Asia Pacific Information Network - APIN

South East Asian Press Alliance - SEAPA

CI cooperates with SEAPA in promoting freedom of expression, in particularly the right to press freedom.

National and Local Organization

CI implements its programmes and projects in cooperation with beneficiary UNESCO Member States through their respective National Commission for UNESCO, designated focal points, leading communication and information institutions and academics, professional organizations, and local communities. Our collaboration with NGOs is still limited.
