The Facility has committed US$3 million to help Tawergha and its people get back to the development path.
"This project is starting on time to avoid further catastrophic consequences for the city and its inhabitants,” said the manager of Water and Sanitation Company in Sebha.
"About 180 children are now vaccinated per week. We couldn't do it without the maintenance of the building," stated Mr. Abu Eidbah, Director of Golden Clinic in Sebha.

The center provides psychological to people from Misrata and Tawergha affected by the conflict in 2011.

The Stabilization Facility for Libya
Led by national and municipal Libyan institutions, The Stabilization Facility for Libya aims to strengthen the legitimate and internationally recognized state authorities and foster national unity for all Libyans. Under SFL—Stronger for Libya, UNDP works first with local partners, giving an effective voice to women and youth, to identify tailored stabilization goals. The SFL then seeks to ensure that the local strategies flow from, are linked to, and contribute to reaching the national goal of recovery and stabilization. The Facility is providing quick rehabilitation of critical infrastructure and delivering equipment to support local authorities to help improve services to citizens.
Strengthening Local Capacities for Resilience and Recovery
With fund from the European Union, UNDP is implementing this three-years initiative in close cooperation with national and international partners. The aim is to strength local authorities capacities to serve the people in Tripoli, Sabratha, Sabha, Murzuq, Benghazi and Al Kufra.
