Between now and 2025, 50 students will attend bachelor’s, master’s and technical degrees in agriculture, applied statistics and mining at academic establishments across Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
The initiative will support the development and implementation of climate policies and to accelerate climate action in the six countries of the Eastern Partnership - Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine.
Of the 1.3 billion people who are multidimensionally poor, more than two-thirds of them—886 million—live in middle-income countries.
From restoring basic services and infrastructure to creating jobs, UNDP alongside the European Union and partners help people and communities affected by conflict to get back on their feet.
