After the successful results of the Postgraduate Diploma in Curriculum Design and Development, in Africa and in Latin America and the Caribbean, IBE-UNESCO, UNESCO’s Section For Teacher Development and Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University (HBMSU) with the generous support of the Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award For Distinguished Academic Performance, will be launching the first regional Postgraduate Diploma in Curriculum Design and Development for the Arab States in October 2016.
The Diploma is an accredited capacity development programme, which combines two-week face-to-face session – comprising workshops, roundtables, school visits and conferences animated by distinguished international and national experts – and online learning sessions and activities over a period of nine months with the view to strengthen Member States institutional capacities to develop and implement quality curricula for all within an international comparative perspective. The program is mainly addressed towards policymakers, planners, curriculum specialists and developers, educators, principals, supervisors, teacher trainers, teachers and researchers. It represents a crucial and unique opportunity for reframing visions of curriculum, education and even of society within SGD 4 - Education 2030 geared towards “ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all”.
