Overview
The incumbent, under the overall authority of the Director of IBE and the direct supervision of Simona Popa, Programme Specialist, Knowledge Creation and Management in Curriculum, Learning and Assessment, will carry out the following tasks and provide support for and assistance with:
  • Developing and editing IBE publications and annual reports
  • Research and publication funding and partnerships
  • Setting up IBE international events and publication launches.

Required qualifications
Education
  • Graduate degree (or currently enrolled in MA/ PhD programme), ideally in publishing, editorial studies, communication, or related field.
Skills/Competencies
  • Prior editorial experience
  • Solid copyediting and proofreading skills
  • Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to set priorities under pressure
  • Flexible, upbeat attitude to the job, willingness to learn and enjoying working with a like-minded team
  • Demonstrated abilities and interest.
Languages
Excellent English language skills; knowledge of another UN official language would be an asset.

Benefits and entitlements
  • Please note that this internship is unpaid. The intern is responsible for all expenses related to the internship, including lodging, meals and transportation to and from Geneva. The intern must be self-insured through a medical provider.
