Communication and Information – for “free flow of ideas by word and image”

The UNESCO Moscow Office gives special attention to the promotion of freedom of press and freedom of expression as well as strengthening capacities of local and community media.

A considerable attention is accorded to the curriculum development in the Faculties of Journalism of the Universities of the cluster countries as well as to the preservation of the documentary heritage and facilitation of cooperation between library, archive and museum professionals. Among its priorities, the UNESCO Office in Moscow promotes regulations to facilitate multilingualism and cultural diversity in the cyberspace and through the media.
