La Convention pour la protection des biens culturels en cas de conflit armé a été adoptée à La Haye (Pays Bas) en 1954 à la suite de la destruction massive de biens culturels pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Il s’agit du premier traité multilatéral portant exclusivement sur la protection du patrimoine culturel en cas de conflit armé.
