Ecuador ratified the 2003 Convention for the Safeguarding of Intangible Culture Heritage in 2008. Despite important efforts mobilized by the State Party for the effective safeguarding of intangible cultural heritage and an institutional environment conducive to the integration of culture in public policies, as in most countries, the viability of intangible cultural heritage present in Ecuador also faces serious threats of social›››
