Description
It is Island in Aqaba Gulf in the north. There are many different structures datings. Saladin built astrong outpost to protect land and sea routes between Egypt, Syria and Hejaz. It consists of north and south fortifications. In the central plain between them there were built the storehouse, the rooms, and the mosque. The north fortifications include several buildings for different uses and rooms for over night stay, kitchen and the oven and bath-rooms.
