Training Event - Using the Copernicus Marine Data Stream for Ocean Applications; Online (October) & Ghana Classroom (November) As part of the Copernicus Programme EUMETSAT, on behalf of the European Commission, is organising a blended training course on “Using the Copernicus Marine Data Stream for Ocean Applications”. The training event will mainly focus on data from the Ocean and Land Colour Imager (OLCI) and the Sea and Land Surface Temperature Radiometer (SLSTR) both flown on the Sentinel 3 Satellite. Full details are given in the documents attached. The online phase is scheduled 23 October – 27 October 2017 The classroom phase in Accra, Ghana, will take place 06 – 10 November 2017 The workshop is dedicated to (early carrier) scientists in Africa: Master / PhD students, Post-Docs, and experienced scientists with an interest in working with satellite based ocean observation data. Participants should have some working experience in SNAP and/or a scripting language such as R (or similar).
