Description

This Monument is found at a distance of 22 kilometers from Santo Domingo taking the 27 de febrero avenue or the Duarte highway. Following later the Manoguayabo avenue until the Palavé Hill of the Sugar Refinery Central Rio Haina. It has a fortified facade oriented to the East with a pure classic elements. The open portico of three spaces have half point arcs laying on two columns exempted and another two added at the wall. The central arc is higher than the lateral, the archery is-inside an alfiz and topped by a cornice. It has militar and religious architectural elements. A steeple was founded at the ground and was restored to the high section of the wall. The second story has a balcony system shortly projected and supported by stone mensulas of which are actually traces. History And Development The ruins of the Big House of Palavé, a palace that remains on a dozzy valley at west Santo Domingo whose original owners stand behind a mysterious enigma. People says once upon a time it could be a spaniard cow breeder's residence, or a religious institution. Others says that when the place was used for slavery proposal a spaniard lady was living with her husband and the couple was cruel with their workers, so cruel that one day the lady was wearing a white dress and was disturbed by the plantation's works and discharged all her frustration and angriness with the slaves, people says she took a belt so the punishment was so bloody and intense that the lady's white dress turned to red. Later in ages of the tyrany Hector B. Trujillo took the terrains for cow breed purposes from 1939 until the fall of the regime.
