Notes Belén Martín Míguez has combined research and scientific coordination working in several key institutions both in Spain, France and Belgium, contributing to the development of marine observational networks at national, European and international level. She obtained her PhD at the University of Vigo (2003) and did her postdoc at the University of La Rochelle in 2006. In between those two periods she worked for the Spanish Harbours Authority, the most relevant Spanish governmental agency in the realm of operational oceanography. From 2006 to 2009 she worked as a sea level expert at the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO and was heavily involved in the Global Sea Level Observing System (GLOSS) programme. Just before joining Seascape Consultants she worked 5 years at the Marine Technological Centre (CETMAR, Vigo, Spain), where she was responsible both for technical and coordination tasks in the framework of several European projects and acquired experience in in European projects funding and management. Belén joined Seascape in spring 2015 to provide support to the EMODnet Secretariat team and contribute her expertise to the H2020 AtlantOS project.
